About me
I'm a tenacious learning and development professional with over 6 years' experience in the industry.
My passion for learning started when I was a child. I'd spend hours standing at my whiteboard teaching my parents what I'd learnt at school that day. Making content accessible to all is something that drives me. It's this desire to help and empower others that has shaped my career to date.
I started out teaching modern foreign languages at secondary level. Here I quickly learnt to create and deliver blended lesson plans that mirrored the aims of the National Curriculum.

I then joined an ed-tech start-up where I managed the content for a language learning app. I learnt to work in an agile way, iterating designs to meet user needs. It was a great opportunity to apply learning theories and instructional design outside of a classroom setting.
For the past six years I've established myself at the BBC, working collaboratively with stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality learning experiences. I've uncovered the challenges my colleagues are facing and used this research to design and iterate user-centred solutions that align to KPIs and learning outcomes. With extensive access to data, I've evaluated learning to demonstrate impact, return on investment and used this to improve solutions. Every step of the way ensuring that designs are accessible and aligned to the WCAG 2.1 standards.
